New race format and extended supporting program promise a unique experience.
From May 9th until the 12th, 2024, the SUP Festival will return to the Villach – Faaker See – Ossiacher See region for the third time. This time, an even more international and larger field of participants are expected.
All athletes and fans can look forward to an even more extensive supporting program and the brand new competition “The Fastest Paddler” at Lake Faaker See.
With the second edition in spring 2023, the SUP Festival has already succeeded in attracting more than 500 starters from 20 nations to Lake Faaker See and making waves internationally. The festival made it into the top 10 events worldwide in the SUP World Ranking and was awarded four out of five stars for its organization.
RACE PROGRAM
At THE LAKE ROCKS SUP Festival 2024, top athletes, paddling amateurs and beginners will once again conquer Lake Faaker See and the Drau River in Villach’s old town.
Thursday, May 9:
- 14:00: CITY Race [2nd AirSUP Boardercross Championship Villach]
Friday, May 10:
- 12:00 pm: SPEED Race [The fastest paddler]
- 15:00: TEAM Race [XXL boards]
Saturday, May 11:
- 11:00 am: PRO Race [Long Distance – 12 km]
- 3:00 pm: FUN Race [Short Distance – 2 km]
Sunday, May 12th:
- 11:00 am: TECH Race

From today, tickets to take part in the six competitions can be purchased online in the brand new webshop at www.paddelstadt.at. Starting places are available until January 31st at the same price as last year’s event. The first jump in entry fees will then take place on February 1st.
Due to the high demand, the third edition of THE LAKE ROCKS will once again offer an ALL-RACES-PASS. This ticket allows participation in all individual races of the festival at the special price of € 75. All athletes who want to complete the entire race program save up to € 48,- per person!
Four days of program with free admission
On Friday and Saturday in particular, there will be an extended supporting program in the SUP Village at Strandcamping Gruber. Once again, there will be the opportunity to test the latest SUP models from Light, Fanatic, Starboard and many other manufacturers.
Various exhibitors will also be presenting their latest products from the fields of sport, leisure and health. Live music, DJs, paddle parties and much more await the participants. Admission to the SUP Village and supporting program is free.
