SIC Maui wins two new world titles at 2024 ISA World SUP&Paddleboard Championship in Copenhagen
The city of Copenhagen has left great moments for the SIC Maui brand during the participation of its international riders in the 2024 ISA World SUP & Paddleboard Championship.
It should be noted that SIC Maui had more than seven riders participating in this competition in the waters of Denmark, of which four of them managed to place in the top 10, which shows the potential that has the female SUP Race team of SIC Maui.
Rika Okuaki and Seychelle were in the top packs of the different races, finishing 4th and 5th in Long Distance, and 6th and 7th in the Technical race. On the other hand, Soryn Preston, 15 years old, also caused a great sensation by taking 3rd place in the Junior category, 8th position in the Technical race and 10th in the Long Distance.
The young rider Kanae Shibahara also made her mark with an 8th place in the Junior category and 13th in the Long Distance. At the same time, Anabelle Page rounded off her performances with a 13th place in the Technical race.
As for the men’s category, David Leao was crowned with the gold medal in Sprints, making a fantastic performance in each of his races, where we have seen his board literally glide over the water in the city of Copenhagen.
The young japanese Kotaro Miyahira won the gold medal in the Junior category. He also took 3rd place in the Long Distance, proving to be a rising star in this sport. We highlight the great performance seen by Ethan Bry, getting a 4th place in the Long Distance.
Congratulations to all, and looking forward to seeing the SIC Maui team’s performances again at the ICF World Cup in Sarasota, Florida!
