Cecilia Pampinella and Michael Booth were the winners of the stop 11 of the Eurotour 2023 in Punta Ala, Italia.
Sparviero SUP Challenge in memory of Sara D’Apolito hosted by @puntala_hostedbynature In true Italian form the 100+ competitors didn’t shy away from the challenge and everyone signed up for the 15km course around #IsolottodelloSparviero.
On the girls’ race, Cecilia Pampinella absolutely crushed it win at home reminding everyone why she’s one of the world finest. Anna Tschirky her 8th podium on tour with yet another close second. On a very consisting spanish race but local resident Susak Molinero impressed us at third.
The young guard was close with 14yr old phenom Claudia Postiglionne 4th & only a few minutes behind 13yr old Sveva Sabato from the same club @sup_academy_tarantoclosing the Top5.

On the mens’, Michael Booth completely dominated the race and got a well deserved first position. On a race from less to more Donato Freens had a great second leg for second. The biggest story of the day was Filo Mercuriali that had an impecable strategy for third on his best international result.
Tough break for the early hero of the race Riccardo Rossi who was 2nd for a big part of the race and suffered some tough crumps that relegated to a still very impressive 4th. On a very solid race Itzel Delgado showed why he’s regarded as one of the best #southamericans closing the Top5.

The Kid’s race in the afternoon was a great success with the wind making the conditions super challenging. With everyone in #spartan mode all of them from 8 to 14 years old completed them with a huge smile.
